Description

The 2019 Queensland Women in STEM Prize recognises the valuable contribution of Queensland women working in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Three cash prizes of $5,000 are available.

To enter, applicants are required to provide a written application and a two minute video describing how their work benefits Queensland communities.

Previous winners are feeding the world through sustainable livestock production; establishing new manufacturing industries and advancing medical science through drug discovery and improved understanding of immune responses.

To give applicants the best possible chance of success, free communication training sessions are available:

  • TOWNSVILLE 9:30am-3pm, Tuesday 5 February 2019 (Please note the Towsville session was previously scheduled for Tuesday 5 February 2019. Due to severe weather conditions, the session has been postponed to Monday 11 February 2019)
  • BRISBANE 9:30am-3pm, Tuesday 12 February 2019

The 2019 Queensland Women in STEM Prize is presented by Queensland Museum, Office of the Queensland Chief Scientist, Office for Women and BHP Foundation.
